From Friday November 22 to Sunday December 1, 2019, an international automobile exhibition will be held in Los Angeles, to which manufacturers will bring more than 1,000 cars. We will tell you about the ten most anticipated innovations of the Auto Show 2019, including both completely new and substantially modified models.
10. Acura Type S Concept 2020
A separate division of Honda used the letter S in the name of several of its models, including CL, TL and RSX. In each case, “Type S” meant an increase in performance in terms of power, handling and braking. This will be true for the model, which will be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Designed to express the essence of Precision Crafted Performance, the S-Concept uses a wide strut, long hood and low roof for power transmission and flexible dynamics.
If you look at the proportions of the car, you will see many details that work together to create a beautiful and sporty look. The LED headlights with 4 lamps, the Diamond Pentagram grille and the large air intakes under the headlights create the feeling that the car is ready to take off at any moment.
And the silky color of the body, called “Double Apex Blue”, is explained by the presence of nano-pigments and a transparent coating painted in the color, which gives a sense of movement, enhancing the shine. To create a splitter, sills, spoilers and wheels, the so-called forged carbon was used - the lightest carbon material at the moment.
Each Acura Type S Concept wheel features high-performance Brembo brake discs and four-piston calipers painted in Indy Yellow Pearl, creating an effective contrast to the gray wheels and blue body.
9. VW ID. Space Vizzion Teased
Although Volkswagen calls its brainchild “tomorrow's crossover,” it looks more like a traditional electric wagon. Its sleek appearance promises effective aerodynamics, and a new approach to intuitive usability using digital technology will delight drivers who want to get a “smart car”.
In addition, representatives of VW emphasizes that many of the materials used in the cabin are made from environmentally friendly materials, including AppleSkin, a vegan alternative to the skin.
On one charge, the car can travel up to 500 km.
8. Toyota Mirai 2021
When Toyota unveiled its Mirai hydrogen hybrid car, it was a promise that the future lay in hydrogen fuel cells. The name Mirai itself means "future" in Japanese. This future is now more clearly defined in Mirai 2021, which looks better than ever before.
The biggest change in a completely redesigned car is obvious: it no longer looks like a Toyota Corolla, a battered stick. The machine has acquired a larger platform with rear-wheel drive and front-engine.
This gave her long and low proportions of something like the Audi A7 or Mercedes CLS and allowed five people to fit in the cabin immediately.
Toyota officials also said driving performance was a key factor for the new Mirai, which will offer 20-inch wheels and tires, a significant upgrade over the first version's 17-inch wheels.
The new model focuses on annual global sales of 30,000 copies, which is a bold expectation, given that Toyota has so far created only 10,000 copies of the first-generation Mirai.
7. BMW M2 CS 2020
The 2020 BMW M2 CS has an aggressive appearance thanks to the use of carbon fiber composite elements on the front splitter, rear diffuser and rear spoiler.
And the use of carbon fiber on the hood and roof has significantly reduced the weight of the machine.
Under the hood of the BMW M2 CS is a three-liter S55 Twin Turbo engine with 444 horsepower and 406 Nm of torque. This is 39 horsepower more than the M2 Competition. A powerful propulsion system is combined with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
Up to a hundred, this car accelerates in 3.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is 280 km / h.
For all its speed, the 2020 BMW M2 CS will also be very comfortable to drive thanks to the standard Adaptive M suspension, sports-tuned steering and active electronic rear differential lock.
6. Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Rolls 2020
Volkswagen's newest SUV is smaller than the existing Atlas, but not by much. VW engineers cut off just 2.8 inches from the length of the 3-row model and reduced the height by 2.3 inches. Now the total length of the new Cross Sport is 195.5 inches (496.5 cm), width - 78.3 inches (199.3 cm), and height - 67.7 inches (171.9 cm).
In addition to the modified roof line, the new model is also equipped with a more curved rear door and has a new appearance of the radiator grille.
The model has the same 117.3-inch wheelbase as the 3-row Atlas. This means that the Cross Sport is still significantly larger than the Volkswagen Tiguan (the next step in the lineup).
Standard equipment on all Atlas Cross Sport models includes a collision warning with automatic emergency braking (VW’s Front Assist), blind spot monitoring and rear cross movement warning.
Top-end equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, active assistance in keeping the lane and recognition of road signs.
The choice will be offered either a 2.0-liter and four-cylinder, or a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine (235 and 276 hp respectively).
5. Toyota RAV4 Plug-in 2021
At the moment, Toyota has only released the RAV4 Plug-in teaser, announcing that it will be “the most powerful of all RAV4s.”
The Japanese also confirmed that the third generation RAV4 2006-2012, which was available with an additional 269-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine, was included in the power comparison.
More information will be revealed on November 20, when Toyota first demonstrates the car at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
4. Volkswagen Golf VIII
One of the most anticipated new cars of the American Motor Show 2019 was changed not so much externally as internally.
Two large displays appeared in his salon (of course, touch-sensitive, in the latest fashion, and with ambient lighting). This is a multimedia system and dashboard.
But what the new Golf has lost is the fully electric version, which was replaced by the five-door Volkswagen ID.3 hatchback. But there were versions with a 48-volt on-board network and rechargeable hybrids.
3. Electric Ford Mustang
In January 2017, Ford announced plans to launch 13 new electric and hybrid cars, including Mustang, F-150, and Transit Connect. One of the announced cars was an all-electric crossover with the promised mileage of 300 miles (186 km).
But so far, the only thing known about the new Mustang is that it will be equipped with a Ford Mobile charger, which can be used with 120 or 240 volt sockets. Well, wait for the premiere is not very long.
2. Land Rover Defender 2020
When someone says “Land Rover”, it’s the Defender model that first comes to mind for many motorists. This iconic model was launched by the Land Rover brand back in 1948 (although the Defender plate only appeared in 1990). And her image will radically change with the debut of the new Land Rover Defender in 2020, which underwent its first major modernization in history.
Land Rover promises that the new Defender will retain its legendary off-road skill without losing its majestic and comfortable driving style on the road. In addition, the updated model seeks to maintain the continuity of the “square” design of its predecessor.
Two body types will be offered. The two-door Defender 90 seats five or six people, including the driver. A longer four-door Defender 110 will accommodate up to 7 people in the cabin, and will be an excellent family car for trips out of town.
1.BMW M8 Gran Coupe 2020
The debut of the 2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe marks the completion of the M8 lineup, which already includes a 2-door coupe and convertible.
He offers all the benefits that his M8 siblings have, starting with a 600-horsepower 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine. And, like them, it includes the Competition premium model, the power of which is increased to 617 horses. At the same time, higher engine power is complemented by a louder M Sport exhaust system.
The M8 Gran Coupe V8 comes paired with an 8-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. BMW claims this combination is good for a 3.1-second sprint from zero to hundreds of km / h.
The adjustable suspension settings for the BMW Adaptive M, the engine, all-wheel drive system, steering and the feel of the brake pedal can be combined into two favorite combinations available using the M1 and M2 buttons on the center console.
The car should go on sale in the spring of 2020.
